Almost half of all new teachers are planning to leave the profession within 10 years (“May I leave the class? Teachers' big ambition”, March 4) and one in five Sydneysiders are considering a move ("The great Sydney exodus", March 3). It seems the 2000 Olympics have not left us faster, higher, and stronger, but most probably slower, fewer, and weaker.
