Humanity's gravestone

I’m assuming she’s talking about the problem of sin and corruption in the world. Otherwise I’m not quite sure what she means, as to me it seems like a pretty stupid idea for the whole human race to get into the one grave.

Maybe if you read "Vegetarian Myth" you will find out why all of humanity might jump into one grave together, and also how "It seemed like a good idea at the time" leads to it. I strongly doubt she is talking about sin.
