It's been a while since I updated this blog
Have you heard this before? The eerie sound of blog
mortality. You usually hear it once or twice before never hearing from a blog
again. The sniff of death, followed by the rotting carcass left for everyone to
see on Google Reader.

A blogging saviour? The downfall of Facebook and Twitter?
I’m not that sure really, but perhaps a plea to fellow
bloggers out there. If your blog is dying, or if you are ever tempted to start
a post the words in the title of this post, do us all a favour and spice it up
a bit. Perhaps the blog equivalent of ‘Has this Fugu fish been sliced properly?’
or ‘Will 85 helium balloons really hold my weight on a deck chair?”. Or even ‘I’m
sure this is how they did it on Mythbusters’, would be more interesting than
“It’s been a while” ad nauseum.
Who knows what will keep me blog motivated in 2013? Will I
have enough time in between my other hobbies such as being a criminal lawyer,
looking after two young children, going to church, perfecting my art of one
handed clapping, and beating my time for cooking two minute noodles.
But a little secret for you: Here’s my prayer for the year -
That this is the only blog post that ever begins with those fateful words,
“It’s been a while since I updated this blog”.

I'm still hopeful that 2013 will be the year of the blog resurgence.
It's been a while since I commented, but I can relate to your post. :)
